A year in my kitchen
Every morning I wake up, put on a pot of tea or a kettle of coffee, take the dog out, bring the dog in, cook breakfast for mi novio, then I get dressed for the day job. Each evening I come home slip into comfy cloths, let mi perrito, Bolillo, out, and cook dinner for my honey. Every other weekend we have friends over for a pitcher of Sangria or Coronas with salt and lime and home cooked bocadillos y antojitos.
When the cooking is exceptionally delicious, easy to prepare and when I’ve remembered to measure and record as I concoct, I share the recipes with you. Alex and I hope that you’ve had a chance to cook up some of my recipes and to share wonderful meal with friends and family. Because that’s what cooking is all about, right? Cooking and eating with familia, whether bonded through blood or friendship.
The offer still stands, if you’re in the area, let us know, bring a bottle of wine or six pack of cervezas and we’ll share a meal. Until then, here are some recipes from the past 12 months. xogabriela

Wow beautiful array of dishes…
thanks! xo
My mouth is seriously watering!!!
Gaby, your kitchen is one of a kind!
This comment has nothing to do with your post – but, I saw your comment on Homesick Texan’s blog regarding Ranch Style beans and Catalina Salad.
I posted this in the comment section on her blog: My favorite use for Ranch Style Beans is in Catalina Salad. Basically, it’s lettuce, tomato, green onion, Ranch Style Beans (rinsed), Fritos, grated cheese (not pre-grated) and Catalina salad dressing. My hubby and son LOVE this salad.
Yum I love it too! A childhood favorit, I’ll use your recipe next time i make it! Love the addition of fritos.

. . . wish you could come home to New Mexico and cook up a storm . . . . but it looks like we might have to drop by with some Coronas for some of the bocadillos y antojitos. YUM! They look delicious!
